Who built BossMode? Meet Swain Joshua

TL;DR: BossMode was built by Swain Joshua, founder of SWAINUK LIMITED, out of a very personal problem. Running a business alone meant living inside five apps at once and still feeling behind. BossMode is the app I wished existed: one screen for your tasks, your money and your health, with an AI Boss on top that tells you what to do next.

The five-app problem

For years I ran everything from my phone, and my phone was a mess. A to-do app for the plan. A calendar for the meetings. A budgeting app I opened once a month, usually to feel bad. A notes app for everything that did not fit anywhere. A habit tracker I installed with good intentions and ignored by day three.

None of them talked to each other. My task list had no idea money was tight that week. My budget had no idea the day was already packed. I was the only thing connecting them, and I was the part that kept dropping the ball.

I did not need another app. I needed one place that could see the whole picture and tell me the truth about my day.

Why an AI Boss, not another to-do list

To-do lists fail for a simple reason: they store your intentions but they never make a decision. At 9am you open a list of thirty things and the list just stares back. The hard part was never writing tasks down. It was knowing what to actually do next, especially on the days when money and time were both under pressure.

So the core idea behind BossMode was to build something that acts less like a notebook and more like a boss who happens to be on your side. You tell it what is going on, and it tells you the one next move. It plans your day with you, tracks what you spend and earn, and keeps an eye on the basics like walking, water and clean meals, because your energy is part of your output whether you admit it or not.

The part nobody else joins up: money

Here is the thing I could not find anywhere else. Every planner app in the world tracks tasks. Every budgeting app tracks money. Almost none of them do both, and that gap is exactly where real life happens. The decision to say no to a job, take on a client, or push through a hard week is a money decision and a time decision at the same time.

BossMode was built to hold both. You can log an expense or income by voice or text and it files it into a sensible category and updates your running total. Then the same AI that plans your day can factor in your actual cash position when it tells you what matters right now. For sole traders and small UK businesses, that also means your spending is already sorted into business categories when it counts.

Built in the UK, by one person, for people running their own thing

BossMode is made by SWAINUK LIMITED, my UK company. I am not a big team with a growth department. I am one founder who built the tool he needed and then realised a lot of other people were fighting the same quiet battle: freelancers, solo founders, side-hustlers, and anyone who has ever had to be their own manager, accountant and coach at 11pm.

That is who BossMode is for. Not for a team of twenty with a project manager. For the one person holding the whole thing together.

Where it is going

The mission has not changed since the first version: put your day, your money and your health on one screen, and make the thing on top smart enough to actually help. Everything I add gets measured against that. If a feature does not help you make a better next move, it does not ship.
